I had another brilliant idea that didn’t turn out like I planned. I had this adorable vision of making more of my Twine’ified Eggs and turning it into a Easter Banner.
I started by laying out my eggs and hot gluing the twine between them.
I wrapped twine around each egg, just as I did with my Twine’ified Eggs.
I used 6 plastic eggs because I wanted to spell out “EASTER” on the eggs. So I took my new friend… Ms. Sharpie and wrote a letter on each egg.
About this time I had the realization that these eggs may not stay upright on their own. I tried and sure enough they were tipping… this is where putting a weight into the egg before gluing would have really been the brilliant part! Duh!
So I thought maybe taking a penny and hot gluing it to the bottom would keep it upright…
Nope… Ms. “S” just wouldn’t cooperate!
Then it hit me… the letter eggs already have a lovely base, thanks to my pennies… why not sit them on the mantle?
Not my original plan, but I think I like it!
Have you had a pleasant change of plans?

Cute!!!
I think this looks great. I love it on your mantel.
These turne out so cute!
This TOTALLY sounds like how most of my projects go, though I wouldn't have been smart enough to stand them up on the mantle, I would have tossed mine in a basket in my craft dump for later..haha. LOVE the way they look on the mantle!!
First of all–I love your made up word. And I love the eggs on the twine, very cute. Oh, and your post title showed up normal on my sidebar
.
What is that saying? When life gives you lemons…your project turned out great. I've often had to rethink my "great ideas," especially with my sewing projects.
Like the twine on the eggs. It's kind of burlap-ish. That clock is cool above the fp too. Don't you love those Dollar Tree fleur de lis thingies? I stocked up and may paint some of them beige or black too.
Those are just darling…love that they are sweet and so homespun with the twine! Kim
Super cute egg idea, but I LOVE the clock above your mantel!!!! I want to copy that idea!!!!
Well aren't those EGG-stra special?
I love un-EGG-spected plans.
Cute , cute , cute!
You like it, but I LOVE it!
Ah! I love those! I can't wait to try my hand at making some if that is OK with you! Oh My Gosh! Just 2 cute!
Very clever. And who would have thought twine and Easter could go together, but I like it a lot. I have always struggled decorating for Easter in my red dining room. There's just nothing that says "Easter" that looks good in a red dining room, but I think you have solved my problem. Thank you.
I'm dying! This is hysterical- So I made those twine eggs. I set them in one of my footed bowls, but thought I needed to replace the Valentines Banner and was going to do this exact same thing! Too Funny. Now I know it looks good at least

Cute cute!
These are absolutely adorable! I love them! I have been wondering about how I could come up with some ideas to decorate eggs and this is one I'm adding to my list for sure! Thanks so much for sharing!
Andrea
Those are too cute! It's funny when our crafts don't cooperate and we end up with a better end result than we planned. Nicely done!
I have the twine..now to find the eggs.
What a cute idea for Easter. The clock is cool, too!
Those are simply adorable! Don't you just love our things work out for the better sometimes!
Thanks for sharing!

Lovely idea. And, I had to do the exact same thing with a Valentine felt garland I made! I centered the felt circles on the ribbon and they kept flopping over, so I had to glue nickels to the bottoms. Hey, at least we're problem solvers!
Sooooo cute!!! Love it!!!! I found you from Make it for Monday. I am your newest follower!!! I can't wait to see what you do next!
Too cute!
Very sweet idea.
I like things that are different from the norm…very cute! If you get a sec, come over to my blog to learn how to make flameless candles.
Thanks for sharing!
Youe twine eggs have been on my to-do list for quite some time now. I love that you took them a step further! And I like them sitting on the mantle even better than as a banner.
I love it!!! It is great when things work out as "planned". LOL!
Very Cute! I often like "Plan B" better…this is one of those times!
I like it too, I think they came out great!
I really like this! I'd like to invite you to come join my new blog party and plant a creative seed at "Plant a Punkin Seed Party and Punkin Seed Productions"!

I heart twine!!!!! So cute, who cares if it wasn't what you started to do!! Great stuff, and love your blog!
Hi! Just wanted to say that you inspired me! I made my own "wreath" using your idea and I really like it so thank you so much!! I have a picture on my blog emilysleftovers.blogspot.com. Thanks again!
