Epsom Eggs

After all the Epsom craze of Christmas, I thought why not carry it into Easter!

Doesn’t it look like decorating sugar?

I started with these eggs that I got at Dollar Tree… they have a shimmer~swirl to them.

My oldest daughter painted them with white glue

and then my youngest rolled/sprinkled them in Epsom salt.

I placed them on wax paper to dry.  This is how they looked…

There were spots where the Epsom salt didn’t stick well because little fingers were holding them there.  Once they dried, I just painted those exposed area with glue and covered the egg with Epsom salt again.

And here’s the finished product…

I love this Crate & Barrel bowl…

My girls helped me with this project (4 & 7)…

so it’s great to do with the kiddos.

They turned out very pretty. Probably the best part of the whole thing was making them with your girls.

I made some similar ones using table sugar.
