Power of Paint Party #20 & My Urn

Welcome Paint Lovers…

I’ve been doing so much painting over the last few days… don’t you just LOVE how quickly you can totally change the look of an item with just simple, cheap paint!

A few weeks ago I showed you this 1/2 urn I scored at a garage sale for $1.  I figured I was going to put her in the master bath near the tub.

I took the Valspar Baby Blue spray paint that I purchased at the ReStore a few weeks back and gave it 2 coats.

Then I took white acrylic craft paint and mixed it equal parts with water and brushed the mixture all over the whole urn.  I let it sit on the urn for a few minutes and then wiped it off gently with a paper towel.

The white paint stuck in all the little nooks & crannies… yes, I want a Thomas’ English Muffin now!

Now I need to figure out what to put in my urn… some rolled wash clothes?

Or maybe some of my fav after bath items?

So what have you been painting?

Party Rules:

  • This is a PAINT party… so pretty please, link-up only paint related projects.

  • Please put my nifty POPP button in your blog post or a link back to this party in your post… that way others from your blog can check out all the paint projects too.

  • In the URL line, insert your blog post url… not your general blog address.

  • In the “NAME” line place the title of your post and your blog name (if you can fit both :-)

Maryann, what a clever use for this urn. Plus – it looks great, even if you put nothing in it! Nice project!

Rats, I used to have an urn vase like that. Why did I get rid of it? Oh right, that was before my repurposing days. Love the fun ideas of how to use it.
