Can you believe that summer is almost officially here???

I’ve been adding some finishing touches to my summer mantle.  I’ve got 2 new goodies to show you… both are SUPER easy to do!

First… my shell filled Ball jar.  This last week when the in-laws visited they bought me ton of jars and bottles.  To save on the amount of shells I needed, I tape off the end of a toilet paper roll to put as a filler in my jar.

Then I just poured the remainder of my baby shell… you know the ones I used to make my shell striped candles… into the jar, around the toilet paper roll (our little secret).

Isn’t it a cute jar?  And you can’t beat FREE!

In the background is my 2nd project… twine’ified bottles.

I just used some empty, washed bottles…

and hot glued the twine to the bottle.

You know I adore twine!

So here’s my mantle…

You can see I’ve got one of my shell trimmed pots, my shell striped candles and my mason jar candleholders on it.

I’ve still got one more project that I’m planning to place where the birdie nest is currently.
