I still have a ton of shells on hand… so I had to play some more!
On our trip last week to the beach we found a TON of these little shells…
little baby shells… too cute!
A few weeks ago I showed you how I made Pottery Barn’ish shell candles. I just hot glued them to the candle. I used my “hot” glue gun and it worked great because the shells were big enough. Now working with smaller shells I tried using my “cooler” glue gun, because I knew my fingers were going to be touching the glue… but the cooler glue wouldn’t stick to the candle!!!
SO…
I decided to “melt” the baby shells into the candle. I used my candle lighter and put the flame on the candle till it liquefied a bit.
Then I just pushed the shell on… instant stick!
Here’s one next to my Pottery Barn’ish Jar Candleholders and split peas in my favorite carafe.
I added another one on top of a candlestick next to my shell trimmed pot that I showed you earlier this week.
Just a little more shell-love for my mantle!
