Yesterday I showed you my cranberries and faux ice vignette… today you get the “how to.”
To make these beautiful, faux icy jars, I took some old jars (pizza sauce, jam and salsa cleaned and dried well)
and painted them with some white glue (Elmer’s). You want the glue to be a pretty thick layer.
Then I sprinkled Epsom salt over the wet glue.
I did one side at a time.
Once they are dry you have these beautiful creations.
I sprinkled Epsom salt on the cranberries too…
to create some wintery magic!
Once you’re done creating you can use a handful of the remainder of your Epsom salt for a nice soak in your tub… it’s great for sore muscles!
Thank you Craft Gossip’s Epsom Salt Luminaries for the inspiration!

Absolutely love this! I forgot all about using epsom salts. I read it somewhere last year – probably here! – and forgot to try it. I'm bookmarking this for next year.
