I had these 2 pieces of glass that originally were overlays for our tables in the family room.
This is what I used as my inspiration:
Pottery Barn ~ LOVE them!
This was the first time I’ve used Krylon’s Looking Glass Mirror-Like Paint. You spray the paint on the reverse side of the glass to create the reflective surface.
With a back and forth sweeping motion I did 5 light coats letting the paint dry for 1 minute in between coats. The photo above is after 2 coats.
Next was getting rid of the brassy gold trim. I used DecoArt’s Dazzling Metallics in Shimmering Silver and DecoArt’s Americana in Black. I layered the paint to create this look.
I smile when I see the recycled glass tabletops now!
It does not create a true mirror finish, more of an antique, aged mirror finish… but definitely reflective!
Off to finish a few more things before I Parade this week!

Beautiful! I've never heard of that paint before, I'll have to check it out!
How awesome! Love how they turned out!
They look incredible! I didn't see the mirror paint the last time I was at Lowe's, but the little one was doing the "potty dance" so I didn't look for very long. I really need to get some, though. Thanks for sharing.
this is awesome! i must find something to try that spray paint on.
They looks so great, Maryann!! I'm a sucker for a paned mirror…beautiful!

You are so talented. I just love coming to your blog. Great job with the mirrors. They look like they were really expensive and nicer then the PB mirrors.

Dang Maryann! They are beautiful and you are so clever to have reworked glass tops like this. Thanks for sharing – I'm inspired and I like feeling inspired! JenT
What a vision! I've seen those table inserts before and you were so smart to think of what they could become! They are great!

Visiting from Knock Off Decor.
Love the mirrors. I was just looking at that paint the other day. I was thinking about doing that to an old window. You did a great job!
Incredible knock-off! I'm totally lovin' how that looks. I actually like yours much better than your inspiration, truly.

They look great!! I am going to have to look around in our small town and see if I can find that paint.
If you wanted to hang them on the wall how would you go about doing it so it was secure?
How do you think you could securely hang them on the wall if you wanted to do that?
Hi K8…
I would probably use either DISChangers ( http://www.dischangers.com/index.php ) or get some bathroom mirror hangers, like you use to attach the giant bathroom mirrors.
