Cream’ification Removal

I’m finally getting around to making over my kitchen table!  Here’s what my kitchen table looked like 2 years ago when I painted it a creamy white (just when I started blogging).

I removed the paint from the tabletop so I can stain it a deep brown and the base will stay all creamy white.

Here is what the tabletop looks like now…

Here’s what I used:

Rockler’s Soy-Gel Paint & Urethane Remover

paint brush

scraper

sander

    Can't wait to see the finished product! I've always loved the look of tables with dark stained tops with white bases. I think they're a nice combo of elegant and casual. Jim won't let me paint our dining room table, but I'm thinking about staining the top a darker color…Just not sure how it would look.
    BTW, I just started following you, and I love your blog so far!
