Hey Friends… I’ve got an awesome giveaway today!!! How’d you like a $100 Tar-jay gift card??? I know how easy that could get spent this time of year with back to school supplies/clothes/shoes looming just weeks away.
Before we get to all the giveaway nitty-gritty, I want to share with you guys about an exciting call I got to be a part of a few weeks ago. Myself and the other three featured bloggers at Your Picks Your Place (Jaimelyn @ I Heart Naptime, Michael @ Inspired by Charm and Diane @ In My Own Style) got to participate in a conference call with Kim Myles. I was so excited and nervous… but she was so sweet and bubbly that any nerves I had were instantly gone.
You guys know Kim right?
Kim Myles, is a TV host and design and decor expert! She believes that personal décor should be driven by creativity, self-expression and a sense of humor. Her imaginative and generous approach to design helped her win HGTV’s Design Star, and inspired her home makeover show ‘Myles of Style’ for three seasons. She continues to host and design for shows like HGTV’d and America’s Biggest Yard Sale.
It was so fun listening to her, I could totally picture her talking from my days watching her on HGTV Design Star and Myles of Style.
She just launched her first line of DIY Decorating tools: Kim Myles ‘Global Glam’ Stencil Collection with Cutting Edge Stencils. Inspired by cultures and traditions from across the globe, her easy-to-use/wallpaper-sized stencils help people completely transform their space or furniture in a single afternoon.
During our call we got to ask her a couple questions. Of course I had to ask her what her favorite paint color is currently! She said that she’s lovin’ Benjamin Moore’s Slate Teal.
Isn’t it a great color!
Kim also LOVES shopping thrift stores, yard sales and Home Goods… I know we could hang!
I also asked her if she had the job of redoing an entire home, where would she start? She said she’d start in the Foyer. She said that’s a great place to set the tone for the house and make a big statement. (what a great tip!)
