Welcome Paint Lovers to the weekly Power of Paint Party… a party about paint and only paint. A place for you to share your paint projects and be inspired by all the awesome paint goodness linked up.
I’ve been looking for a new clock for our family room since I painted it last year. We had a giant clock above the mantel, but I wanted a change.
Last time we were visiting my parent’s house, my mom mentioned she had a spare clock in their extra bedroom. After seeing it, I loved the size… but knew I wanted to give it a little paint updating.
The outer clock ring was a little too “cherry” for my décor… so I grabbed some of my acrylic paints and a foam brush.
I used painter’s tape to project the glass.
I was going for a worn silver look. I started with a base coat or DecoArt’s Americana in Driftwood.
After it dried I brushed on a coat of DecoArt’s American Gloss Enamels in Shimmering Silver.
Love it’s shimmery goodness…
What a great update all from some craft paint!
Oh how I love paint! So what have you been painting?
Power of Paint Party Rules:
#1… This is a PAINT party… so pretty please, link-up only paint related projects.
#2… If you want to be considered for the Spotlight, you need to put my nifty POPP button (you can find it up in my menu bar’s BUTTONS) in your blog post… that way others from your blog can check out all the paint projects too.
#3… Share the Love… visit the other paint pals.
**** Don’t forget… submit your paint project to my other blog, Power of Paint, to have it featured there!!!

Thank you for hosting! Wishing you a grand week. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
Hi Maryann, Love the clock redo. I don't like things to look so perfect either! I'm linking another frame and mirror redo this week. I'm working on another frame project now. Didn't know my stash was so big. Thanks for all your support this week. Kathy
Many of my favorite makeovers have been the ones that are quick to do with supplies already on hand. Love your clock now! Oh how nice would it be if they invented an easy way to tape off circular pieces. Thanks for hosting such a great party!
hey Maryann. glad to be joining you this week!
Whoops again I forgt this was a paint party…sorry please delete my link ~Printables
