Welcome Paint Lovers to this week’s Power of Paint Party… a party about paint and only paint!
This week I’ve got this gorgeous lamp update to share with you…
This is what this lamp use to look like…
We had found this lamp in one of the storage units we purchased at an auction over the summer.
I used Valspar’s Exotic Sea spray paint for this makeover.
It is a gloss finish and it’s a stunning, gorgeous blue! I used some shimmery silver acrylic paint for the base… just painted it on with a little brush.
Love the colorful addition to our entryway dresser and silver mirror… both auction items! Our entryway has become an auction entry.
Tomorrow I’m going to share how I made the lampshade… any guesses what it use to be???
So what have you been painting?
Power of Paint Party Rules:
#1… This is a PAINT party… so pretty please, link-up only paint related projects.
#2… If you want to be considered for the Spotlight, you need to put my nifty POPP button (you can find it up in my menu bar’s BUTTONS) in your blog post… that way others from your blog can check out all the paint projects too.
#3… Share the Love… visit the other paint pals.
**** Don’t forget… submit your paint project to my other blog, Power of Paint, to have it featured there!!!

Hi Marianne! I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize until it was too late that I already shared my lamp redo at last week’s party! If you can delete it, that’d be great. Thanks so much for a wonderful party! Paint – it’s my favorite thing!!!!!!!!!
Cute Lamp! Did the shade use to be a jacket sleeve?
Thank you for hosting. I have paint fever. I’m looking forward to seeing all the links and great ides.
Thanks so much for hosting! Since I work in fabric I’m going to guess the lamp shade was formally a man’s suit!!!
Have a wonderful week –
Hugs,
Suzan
Thank you so much for hosting! I linked up some pear place cards that I painted with cherry jam – I hope it still counts as painting!
