String Art Christmas Tree

I’ve been having so much fun this week.  Christmas crafts and décor are spread throughout my home right now and I have so much fun stuff to share with you in the coming weeks.  Today I’ve got a fun craft… a string art Christmas tree.

I started with a cool piece of wood and used a Christmas tree coloring page for the design.

I hammered nails in at the ends of the boughs and then pulled off the paper.

I used a silver paint pen to paint the tops of every other nail head.

I took me a few tries to figure out which pattern I wanted to use to “string” the tree.

I decided to go with top to bottom and center and out to each tip… trying to replicate a bough.  I found this cool green twine at Dollar Tree last year… score!

And ended up with this cute string art tree… which I’m kind of loving.    I’ve got lots of other Christmas goodies in the coming days… a Pottery Barn knock-off, my Christmas Home Tour and much more.
