Welcome Paint Lovers!
I’ve got another paint forecast for you guys.
Paint Quality Institute has some great insight on what they think the paint trends of 2011 will be.
The 3 categories they highlighted were the following:
Back to Basics ~ “variety of casual neutral and pastel hues to create warm and inviting spaces… Warm whites, tawny tans, barely-there coral and green will find use in kitchens, bedrooms and baths.”
Well Worn Hues ~ “blue will grow in popularity as not just a wall color but also as a ceiling choice.“Well Worn Hues”are represented by blues across the spectrum, from denim dark to blue-grey… As a secondary or complementary hue, yellow or yellow-green adds a bit of “spunk” when used in family spaces.”
Shimmer and Shine ~ “higher paint sheens and metallic finishes are on the radar for 2011. Don’t be surprised to see spaces such as hallways and living areas painted in a very glossy hue, from top to bottom… Coupled with the “high shine” trend, gold will return as both an in-demand paint hue and as a key metallic choice.”
I think I’d seen all of these trends already happening in bloggyland… what do you think? I love them all!
So what have you been painting?
Power of Paint Party Rules:
This is a PAINT party… so pretty please, link-up only paint related projects. I HATE deleting!
Please put my nifty POPP button (you can find this in my menu bar “Button” link) in your blog post or a link back to this party somewhere on your blog… that way others from your blog can check out all the paint projects too.© Copyright Maryann @ Domestically Speaking, All rights Reserved.
