Hi Friends! We love smoothies in our home, especially in the heat of summer. One of our latest creations has been this yummy chocolate, peanut butter and banana smoothie. It’s so good it tastes like a dessert!
This recipe will make one giant glass (as shown) or two 8 ounce servings.
1 cup of ice
1 cup of chocolate almond milk
1 frozen banana
1 heaping tablespoon of peanut butter
1 scoop of protein powder (if desired, I use a vanilla whey protein powder)
Add your ingredients to the blend and start it on the crushed ice setting. Pulse for about 10 seconds. Then turn your blend to a high setting and let it blend. When using ice in a smoothie it might seem thin at first, but as it blends it will thicken. It usually takes 20 seconds on high (but it all depends on your blender).
It’s delicious, refreshing & a great treat in the summer. I bet they’d freeze great as popsicles too.
Perfect for anyone who loves chocolate, banana and peanut butter!
