140th Power of Paint Party… Pretty in Pink
Welcome Paint Lovers to this week’s Power of Paint Party… a party about paint and only paint! Come check out this week’s projects and inspire us with yours.
Over the summer the kiddos and I have had a storage auction adventure. Do you guys watch those storage shows? Well… over the last few weeks we purchased 3 different units, full of different stuff… furniture, TVs, books, lots of art and much more.
The last unit we purchased on Friday had a couple mirrors BEGGING for a paint job! You all know that paint can save anything!
I loved the detail at the top…
and even though it was plastic I knew it could be saved.
I figured this would be adorable in a little girls room. I started by using a shimmery silver acrylic craft paint over the plastic frame.
Then a used 2 coats of a pink…
Here the princess mirror is all finished and pretty in pink.
Love the shimmers of silver poking out.
My 7-year-old daughter is begging to keep it now… we’ll see!
So what have you been painting?
Power of Paint Party Rules:
#1… This is a PAINT party… so pretty please, link-up only paint related projects.
#2… If you want to be considered for the Spotlight, you need to put my nifty POPP button (you can find it up in my menu bar’s BUTTONS) in your blog post… that way others from your blog can check out all the paint projects too.
#3… Share the Love… visit the other paint pals.
**** Don’t forget… submit your paint project to my other blog, Power of Paint, to have it featured there!!!
Love the color ~ pink and I go way back! : ) Wonderful redo.
Your pink mirror takes me back to when my 19-year old daughter was a little girl. She had one on her wall. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

This reminds me of something from Beauty and the Beast, I’m just waiting for it to come to life. Loving those curley cues at the top!
