158th Power of Paint Party ~Beachy, Crackle Goodness
Welcome Paint Lovers to this week’s Power of Paint Party! Happy New Years! I can’t wait to see all the awesome paint projects that you guys will come up with in this next year. I know I’ve already got a few on my list. Pardon the dust on my site. I decided last night to give the blog a makeover and it’s still in progress.
One of my goals this year is to finish our oldest daughter’s bedroom.
We found a this in a storage unit we purchased at an auction over the summer. I decided to go with a chippy, beachy look – so I went to my white glue crackle method!
I started with a basecoat of Dutch Boy’s Hawaiian Sky (one of the colors on her Ombre Walls). Once completely dry the whole area gets a thick coat of white glue. Then I topped it with Ultra White paint. (You can read more details on white glue crackle here)
A much needed addition to hang all her 10-year-old accessories.
So what have you been painting?
Power of Paint Party Rules:
#1… This is a PAINT party… so pretty please, link-up only paint related projects.
#2… If you want to be considered for the Spotlight, you need to put my nifty POPP button (you can find it up in my menu bar’s BUTTONS) in your blog post… that way others from your blog can check out all the paint projects too.
#3… Share the Love… visit the other paint pals.
Don’t forget… you can submit your paint project over at Power of Paint (my other blog) to have it featured.
Thank you for hosting! Happy New Year! Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
Thanks for hosting! This is my first time linking up. I hope my DIY mercury glass project tickles your reader’s fancy. It was so easy to do!
Happy New Year!
Welcome Lisa! So glad you joined the party.
That turned out great! Will have to try that.
