36th PoPP and Mercury Pumpkins & Gourds
Welcome Painters & Paint Lovers!!!
Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend. We got back from San Diego last night after a fabulously fun weekend with family. I almost completely forgot that today was Tuesday… how could I forget the Power of Paint Party? Having a Monday off throws my whole week off.
Last week I shared with you guys how I created a faux mercury glass effect with spray paint…
you can read all the details from last weeks PoPP here.
Well I decided to try the same technique on some plastic pumpkins and gourds.
To make the speckled effect I sprayed the pumpkin with a mist of water and then immediately spray painted the pumpkin with my Aluminum spray paint.
Here they are next to some more plastic pumpkins and gourds that I painted creamy Heirloom White. I love the creamy white and silver together!
So what have you been painting?
This is the perfect site for everyone who would like to understand this topic.
You know a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I actually would want to…HaHa).
You definitely put a new spin on a topic that has been discussed for years.
Great stuff, just wonderful!
Excellent goods from you, man. I’ve understand your stuff previous to and you’re just too fantastic.
I really like what you have acquired here, really like what you’re saying and the way in which you say it.
You make it enjoyable and you still take care of to keep
it wise. I can’t wait to read far more from you.
This is actually a great web site.
Great idea! I love the silver, so different.
Mist with water first, love it! I love this silver paint, have been using it everywhere lately. Would have never thought about this little tip though. Genius! Thank you for sharing. -K

I love the pumpkins! They look very cool painted silver. The texture looks great!
Great idea with the water misting! I'm actually thinking about spraying the inside of a green vase with silver paint. I'm curious how it comes out. As always, thanks for hosting.

I liked the vases, but I LOVE the pumpkins. So cute! I am going to have to try this one…
This is so cute and sophisticated looking! I love it. I'm off to find some pumpkins to paint! Seriously, I never think about decorating for fall because things are pretty…orange out there. I love these and your burlap pumpkins as well. I featured them on my blog! I hope you can stop by to check it out.
