Roadside DIY Headboard Bench

Thanks for Sharing!

I found a giant headboard on the side of the road.  It was in great shape just begging for someone to rescue it – so I saved it.  It sat in our garage for years until I finally tackled on of the DIY projects on my long to-do list – a DIY Headboard Bench!

This bench was created with a bunch of freebies – roadside finds and scraps.  I found the free roadside headboard a few years ago.

The front legs were taken off of a coffee table that was from an after garage sale freebie.

We used 2×4’s to connect the pieces and create the frame.  The bench top  boards were the siding to our kiddo’s old sandbox.

I finished it off with a coat of Pebble Beach gray paint with my favorite paint sprayer, the HomeRight Finish Max Sprayer.  It coated the bench beautifully and quickly and it’s super easy to cleanup!

I just love when you can create something out of items others have discarded.
