Farmhouse Front Door Christmas Basket
My Farmhouse Front Door Christmas Basket is this month’s thrift store makeover! It’s always fun to see what I can find, especially right now. My local thrift stores have been low in the home decor departments lately, making for slim pickins’. When I saw the shape of this basket I thought it would be great on my front door!
I love it with some white chalk paint, but check out the before!
I wasn’t loving the orangey color, but I figured nothing some chalk paint couldn’t fix!
I just used a foam brush from the dollar store and some chalk paint and lightly brushed it on. I wanted the basket to show through a little bit.
I gave it two light coats to get the finish I wanted and to cover enough of that orange.
Just little bits poking through. I’m thinking of adding a ribbon to it. What do you think?
I clipped some greenery from the yard and adding it to the basket with some faux berries to create a festive Christmas basket. I’m loving my Farmhouse Front Door Christmas Basket!!!
