Gotta little bling with only 1 buck!

Thanks for Sharing!

Happy Monday Guys!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

A few weeks ago I shared with you guys my love for nailhead trim.  You can see the post of some of the pics I’ve pinned over at Pinterest here.

Well I figured the nightstands in our master bedroom were a great piece for me to try out my nailhead upgrade on.

I original was going to use decorative tacks, but on my last trim to Dollar Tree I came across a 300 pack of thumbtacks for $1 and I figured… why not!

I used the same stencil I had used to paint our master bedroom wall and just traced the design onto the front of the drawers with a pencil.

Then with the smallest drill bit I had I drilled a little hole, maybe a 1/4 of an inch?

Most of my holes I could just press in the push pins.  Some needed a little tap from the mallet.  A few I drilled too far and I used super glue to hold the tack in because it was loose.

Each drawer took me less than 5 minutes!

Gotta little bling with only 1 buck!

Hope you have a fabulous week!

  1. oh my word, seriously Maryann?!!! That’s just awesome. AWESOME I tell ya. I’d looooooove if you’d link this up over on Kammy’s Korner for Trash 2 Treasure Tuesdays if you have a chance. I’m just hanging around waiting for the Power of Paint Party to start! 🙂

  2. I am in awe if this! I love how you mimicked the wall pattern. I’ve been wanting to add some nailhead trim to some of our furniture aand I am completely sold on it now. Great work!!!

  3. And with 300 thumb tacks I’ve got some more nailheading in my future… guess the project really only cost like 50 cents! 🙂
