I’m excited to be partnering with Merial for its PUREVAX® Pure Protection program. You can find more about this partnership below **.
Mittens is currently our one and only pet. She’s our fur-baby that we rescued from a shelter a couple years ago when she was only 4 weeks old. She is the weirdest cat I’ve ever owned. She won’t come if you call her, unless you have food. She’ll roam around and visit the kids in the evening while they are doing their homework and then hides when it’s bedtime. She’s a strange, moody thing but she’s adorable…
Check out this cuteness! I love her coloring!
All of you with fur-babies want to take care of them. That’s why I’m teaming up with Merial, the maker of PUREVAX® Feline Rabies vaccines this month in recognition of World Rabies Day. In 2013, nearly 500 domestic animals within the United States contracted the rabies virus, and cats accounted for more than half of these cases.1 Even indoor cats (like our Mittens) are at risk.
So Merial created the PUREVAX Pure Protection program to educate us cat owners about rabies. They are encouraging cat owners to play the Feline Defense game. It’s a fun way to educate yourself about the dangers of rabies. I know I wasn’t aware rabies was an issue for cats.
It’s one way we can help to keep our sweet fur-baby companions healthy.
**As part of this program with Merial, I received compensation for my time. Merial believes that consumers and bloggers are free to form their own opinions and share them in their own words.
