I’m excited to be partnering with Unilever to bring awareness to childhood hunger in America. I was compensated for my time, but all opinions are mine.
Happy Tuesday Friends! Last week I shared some pretty grim statistics with you… 1 in 5 Children in America don’t know where there next meal is coming from. Today I’m sharing some ways you can help change that. So here’s some simple ways you can make a difference…
I’ve created an online Virtual Food Drive with Feeding America. Feeding America is the leading domestic hunger relief organization, with network food banks serving every state. Feeding America’s nationwide network of 200 food banks provides food and groceries to 33,500 food pantries, 4,500 soup kitchens and 3,600 emergency shelters. They help feed 46.5 million Americans each year — delivering over 3 billion pounds of food.
You can click on the image above to be taken to my Virtual Food Drive.
Every dollar you give to my virtual food drive helps provide TEN meals to people served by the Feeding America network. When was the last time your dollar bought ten of anything? Any amount… little or big helps make a difference!
You can find a local Feeding America food bank to either donate your time or food supplies. You can find one close to you here.
Your Local Church
Our church has a food pantry to help meet the needs in our local community. In our courtyard we have a listed of the items they are currently in need of to keep the pantry stocked.
We try to grab some of the needed items once a month during one of our grocery runs.
Here’s my youngest with a box we loaded up to bring to church.
You can check with your local church and see if they have a food pantry that you can donate items to or volunteer your time working in.
I hope these ideas encourage you to find a way to get involved… together we can help end hunger in America!
Thanks for stopping by friends!
