Another fun pumpkin during this week’s Pumpkin Palooza… little blue pumpkins! These pumpkins were found at Dollar Tree too and done up with paint.
The tallest pumpkin was a green’ish tone, it’s the one in the bottom image above. The two smaller ones were a light tan color.
I used Gloss Acrylic paints and coated them with just 1 coat of paint.
I liked the peek-a-boo of the under colors.
Just what I was wanting for my fall mantel.
Thanks for stopping by friends… tomorrow I’ve got a Burlap Pumpkin to share with you guys!
These are so lovely. I have a collection of ceramic gourds that are starting to look a little old fashioned. This would be a brilliant way to bring them up to date, which would be great, as it’s still so hard to find decent pumpkins in the UK. Thank you! Sue via #AllThingsCreative

Hi Maryann! These pumpkins turned out so so nice! Love the colour! Great idea !
Sooo pretty !!!
I am new to a lot of DIY projects and think your pumpkins are gorgeous. Could you please tell me the brand name of the paint? I am standing in front of the craft paints at AC Moore and am totally confused.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Maryann! I’m so glad you posted this! I was wondering about painting those glazed pumpkins, and now I know that you can! I bought several last year and wanted to change them this year. I’m loving the blue! Thanks for sharing! Have a Happy Fall! Blessings from Bam
That’s supposed to say Bama!
what was the name of the color please?

Love it…will need to get some!
These are too cute! I’m usually more of a perfectionist and would have DIED before stopping at one paint coat, but I actually REALLY like the peek-a-boo effect of the pumpkins. Great job! They already look great alone, would love to see them on your mantel.

They are so pretty and so fresh! I love the colors! : )
Cute! I really need to get over to Dollar tree – cheap thrills (:
So cute! Did you brush the paint on or use spray paint? The one with the brown accents almost looks like it was sprayed on for effect? Jennifer
Thanks! Nope… just used a brush about 1/2″ in size and brushed on one coat.
I love the turquoise, what a great way to bring the fall in by complimenting your current décor.
I love the blue pumpkins! I always get stuck in the white or orange pumpkin mentality. But, these are great. Thanks for the inspiration to think outside the box!
Thanks Virginia – I’ll be sharing my full fall mantel next week… I went with blues, browns and silver this year.
Sigh – so pretty…
Awe… thanks Anne!
