Master Bedroom… where it stands…
Happy Friday Friends…
I thought I’d give you an update on the our master bedroom makeover progress. Right now, my hang-up is finding fabric I love for a great price for my mini-blinds makeovers.
Last month I shared with you the perfect blue that transformed our builder’s white walls into an immerging sanctuary.
It’s Serenata from Benjamin Moore. I love it more each day.
In my dream plans for our bedroom I wanted to make the wall behind our bed a focal point of the room… so I was thrilled that as one of the Resident Bloggers at The DIY Club I got to select a Cutting Edge Stencil. I picked their gorgeous Hourglass Allover Stencil.
I gathered my painter’s tape, a level, some of the Serenata paint used on my wall, Decoart Dazzling Metallics in Shimmering Silver & White Pearl, a foam roller and a paper towel plus a few hours and I had our focal point.
You can read the full tutorial on how I created this subtle effect over at The DIY Club.
Then I cream’ified some laminate nightstands that I scored for FREE from my brother-in-law.
The beautiful After.
Next week I’m going to share my lamp makeover on this nightstand… it involves my newest favorite shade of spray paint. I used it on my nightstand hardware and a few other light fixtures in the room. I LOVE the silver against the Serenata blue.
I have some gorgeous curtain panels that will hang along the windows (scored on clearance)… now I just need to find some fabric for my windows.
If you have an online fabric store that you LOVE that has GREAT prices…
please let me know!
I’ve got some fun, cheap and creative framed art that I’m putting together too.
I can’t wait till these last pieces come together, so I can share them with you!!
This is a FANTASTIC project. Great job! I would be delighted if you would link this to my VIP party today! https://designergarden.blogspot.com/2011/03/vip-party-6.html
Cheers!

Talk about luck and decorating on a budget. It is so lovely and I think it's amazing what paint can do. Hop over to my blog for my giveaway.
Oh wow! Your wall is just beautiful. You are so talented!
I love it! Looks so calming!
Wow, we have VERY similar taste! =) Love the makeover!
The color is so pretty. I really love that stencil too. I'd love to use in on a wall in the guest room.
I love how sutble your stencil pattern is. You are so right about the silver being terrific with the blue. If you can't find blue fabric how about a gray or silver?

It's coming together beautifully, Maryann! Love the subtle and shimmery effect of the stencil!
chain link fence? hardly! I love everything about this room. I think that stenciling is just the perfect accent for your room! LOVE it!

I'm sorry to say, I think your stencil looks like a chain-link fence.
Your wall is gorgeous and I love your bed cover! It is really coming along beautifully Maryann! I can't wait to see what you have next! 🙂
I love the stencil, it is just subtle enough but still gives a punch. How did you paint the laminate?

So calming and peaceful. And I do love the subtle effect of the stencil. Very nicely done… looking forward to seeing the finished product.
This is almost exactly what I want to do to my bedroom, the pale blue and the shimmery design- except I want the quatrafoil stencil! lol
Ashley over at A {Blonde's} DIY Life did a post on one of her favorite online fabric sources. I checked it out and the prices are great and the fabric is to die for! She said she's used it tons of times, so I'm sure it is a reliable company too! Hope it helps!
