Hey, Friends! It’s Erin from Elizabeth Joan Designs back again with another quick and fun tutorial for you! 2016 has gone by so fast and I can’t believe we are approaching the holidays. I wanted to share a neat little craft that you can put together to help you with your gift wrapping or decorating. Check out this mini chalkboard wreath!
Mini Chalkboard Wreath
Super cute, right? These were so easy whip up. Here’s what you need:
|SUPPLIES| (affiliate links provided for your convenience)
- Wood Tags
- Small Garland (I used faux boxwood)
- Chalkboard Paint
- Paint/Craft Brush
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Baker’s Twine/String
- Chalk Pen
Step 1: Using a paint/craft brush, paint the wood tag with chalkboard paint and allow it to dry. (I only did one coat and it dried in just a few minutes.)
Step 2 – Cut one piece of the garland to the circumference of the tag and use the hot glue gun to attach it around the outside edge. I ended up adding two layers of the garland around my circle tag to make the wreath a little fuller. Feel free to add as many layers as you see fit.
Step 3 – Attach the baker’s twine/string to the mini chalkboard wreath.
Step 4 – Add a name, message, or drawing with a chalk pen/pencil.
I love how this little mini chalkboard wreath turned out! What do you think? These would make adorable gift tags to dress up your holiday presents. They could even work as a fun ornament.
