Monogram Chalkboard Planter

Thanks for Sharing!

Hello, Domestically Speaking readers, it’s Erin from Elizabeth Joan Designs. I’m so excited to be joining you today with another fun and quick craft! I love this time of year because there is so much outside that has turned green and is thriving. This cute Monogram Chalkboard Planter is the perfect way to bring the outside in and makes a great personalized gift too!

Chalkboard Planter Fern Supplies

I started by wrapping the ribbon around the middle of the planter and cutting it so that the ends overlapped a bit. With the hot glue gun, I secured the ribbon in a few spots around the planter.

Next, I attached two magnets to the mini chalkboard wood square with E6000. Using magnets makes it easy to remove the square if you want to change what is written on it.

To create the monogram, I used my favorite transfer method for chalk and colored over it with the chalk marker. However, you can also just use your normal handwriting to create the look you want.

Then all that was left was to add the plants. Feel free to add whatever kind of plants suit your fancy! I added my plants (two cute little ferns) on top of some stones for drainage and scooped in extra potting mix, packing it gently around the sides and base of the plants.

I just love how easy it was to put together this little Chalkboard Monogram Planter. It is certainly a welcomed addition to our home, but this would also be a great hostess/housewarming gift to whip up and customize on your way to the party.
