It’s time for this month’s Thrift Store Decor Makeovers… I team up with 5 other bloggers and we share some fun thrift store finds and the makeovers we did with them.  This month I’m sharing this cute Nautical Tray.

Check out the before on this tray!  I hear the 80’s calling wanting their rag painting back.

Nautical Tray a Thrift Store Makeover Before

I used 2 coats of CeCe Caldwell’s Smoky Mountain Gray paint.

Then I printed out an anchor from photoshop and traced it firmly with a pen to create a faint line that I could use as a guideline.  I used a paint pen to fill it in… so simple and quick!

For the final touch I added some rope to the handles.

This will be a fun serving tray and decor item for this Spring and Summer.

Now make sure to head on over and check out these other great Thrift Store Decor Makeovers!

Rag painting was HOT in the 80’s… I think we all joined that bandwagon. I remember painting something rag style in high school.

      Thanks Jessica! I’ll stick with 80’s music… but 80’s painting has-got-to-go!
