Old Window Chalkboard

Hi Friends! The weekend is finally here…. wahoo! Today I've got another fun project to share with you guys using an old window. I've been fortunate that I've been able to score some old windows from my brother who does remodel/contruction work. I was planning to make one over into chalkboard with paint, but when I was offered the opportunity to try out Deco Laminate. I decided this would be the perfect project.
Man, this was so much easier than painting a primer coat (so the chalkboard paint would stick to the glass) and then painting multiple coats of chalkboard paint.
The Duck Brand® Deco Laminte was very easy to cut with a scissors. I used my paper cutter on it too and it worked wonderfully. My only issus was getting it started to peel.
Once the pieces were cut the right size I peel the top portion and affixed it to the glass, smoothing the bubbles. Then I gradually peeled off the backing section, smoothing as I went.
Oh so cute on my autumn mantel!
Duck Brand® Deco Laminte comes in variety of prints (like zebra and chevron), white board and the chalkboard that I used. They can be cut by hand or you can use a Circuit ™ to create all sorts of cute shapes. The possibilties are unless on what you can transform with Duck Brand® Deco Laminte.
