Painting for the Master… Part Two…
Today I’m sharing with you Part Two of how I created the latest piece of art for my master bedroom gallery wall.
You can read Part One over HERE. In part one I shared how I created the serene background layers.
Today… tree branches!
Ok… what a COOL product I used to create the tree branches.
Decoart’s Americana Writer Paint in Black. Check it out…
It has an easy to control tip… AWESOME!
I used a pencil to sketch out where the larger tree branches would go.
Then I took Decoart’s Americana Writer and traced my branch lines.
For the thicker lines I painted a second line along side and then used a 1/4” paint brush to fill in the lines…
Then using the Writer paint I just added branches… and more branches…
and kept adding branches till I got the look I wanted.
I’ve got to give a big shout-out to Mallie over at DecoArt… THANKS bunches for sending me the paint!!! I have used DecoArt’s paint for years and I’ve always been thrilled with the results!
I hope you guys will try to paint your own paint piece of art… if you do I’d LOVE to see it!!!
Wow, I'm impressed! It looks so good! I've been thinking of doing some artwork, but wasn't sure how to go about it. Thanks for sharing your techniques.

Wow! I wish I had the patience to create something like this. It looks like something that cost you a small fortune!
If you get a chance, I'd love for you to link this up for my Not "Baaad" blog hop, which is up right now. It's unlike other linkies in that you actually compete with the other linked posts for my Best in Show award 🙂
Sorry, Maryann! Need to pay better attention to my spelling!
This turned out beautifully, Marianne! So sophisticated. You really did an amazing job.
