Pallet Sign

Thanks for Sharing!

I think it’s been almost a year since I put up my galvanized metal “HOME” sign and almost immediately after I hung the letters I knew I wanted to add another sign to the space… one that said “Heart of the… Home.”  So when my brother offered a bunch of pallets I knew I it was time for a little DIY and I put together this easy Pallet Sign.

We decided to alternate between the bigger and the smaller pallet planks.

DIY Pallet Sign for your Kitchen

We took two smaller pallet planks and cut them about 2 inches shorter than the height of the sign.  Then we flipped the sign over (so the side you want is facing down) and placed the shorter pieces you just cut about 2 inches in from the right and left sides and used the nailer to attach the piece to each piece of pallet wood.  (So the 2 attachment pieces are running vertical – these are the pieces that hold it all together).

Then came the painting fun!  I started by using a pencil and lightly marker the heart and where I wanted the words.  Then I used a foam brush and acrylic paint and painted it.
