Patriotic Burlap Table Runner
Happy Friday Friends! Are you guys ready for the weekend? It’s almost Father’s Day and before we know it the 4th of July will be here. Today I’ve got the perfect way to dress up your table for the 4th with my Patriotic Burlap Table Runner!
This Patriotic Burlap Table Runner was an easy ~ no sew ~ project… just the way I like them!
Here’s what you need to make this:
burlap – I used a piece 6 ft. by 1 ft.
red ribbon (one foot longer than your burlap)
blue ribbon (one foot longer than your burlap)
scissors
iron
I started by folding over the edge of the burlap and cutting 1/4” slits at one inch intervals.
Once both sides were done, I gave the piece of burlap a good ironing.
Then I slid the ribbon through the slits that I had cut in the burlap.
To finish off the ends of the ribbons I just tied them off with a few knots.
I just love how it turned out & I love it paired with these gorgeous blue mason jars (scored at walmart for less that $2!)
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my Patriotic Burlap Runner. For more patriotic inspiration check out my Patriotic Ribbon Flag and my Patriotic S’mores.
I hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day weekend!

I absolutley love this! I don’t sew so I’m always looking for things I can do that don’t require a sewing machine. I have some burlap I was going to make placemats out of and you’ve inspired me.
How creative is this? I love the ribbon woven through the burlap … genius! Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous Maryann! I’m thinking of all the ways this could be changed up for the seasons using different colored ribbon! So pretty!
Super cute idea!!!
Hi.. visiting your blog via SNAP links Wednesday! I love your Burlap Table Runner… your idea to weave the ribbon into the fabric was great! Swing on by my blog any time! I’m from Canada and I made a lighthouse! Your nautical theme table runner would go great under my lighthouse!
