Rustic Glam Jewelry Organizer

This post is sponsored by The Home Depot.  See full disclosure below regarding DIH Workshop.*   This Rustic Glam Jewelry Organizer is my take on this month’s DIH Workshop at Home Depot.  I love the look of rustic, worn barnwood that has a story to tell paired with something glam – something that has some shine and smoothness to it.  So when coming up with my take on this month’s awesome Do-It-Herself project  I decided to marry that pair into this beautiful combo.

My oldest daughter was needing something to display her jewelry on, so I decided to make this for her.  A few years ago we gave her bedroom an ombre paint makeover that gave her room an instant beach vibe.   So I picked out materials that would compliment that style.

That’s one of the reason I love this DIH Workshop project so much is that you can totally change the look of this project with paint or stain and with the style of hardware you go with.

This Thursday, May 18th , 2017 at your local Home Depot you can signup to attend the DIH (Do It Herself) Workshop.  It’s a great workshop where you can learn how to make your own Jewelry Organizer.  It starts at 6:30 pm and it is a super fun GNO (Girl’s Night Out).

You can sign-up here:

Did you know that Home Depot sells this gorgeous wood?  I just noticed it recently in their store.  Here’s what it’s called in case you want to get the same look for your project.

Isn’t it gorgeous!  I loved that I could get the look I wanted without any extra work, it’s a total win-win!

I also pick out these gorgeous Sea Glass Knobs!  It was the perfect blue to compliment her wall color and you can’t go wrong with sea glass.

The  knobs are perfect for hanging her necklaces on.

I wanted to add something for her bracelets so I decided to go a little industrial and visit the plumbing section of my Home Depot.  I grabbed a few pieces of galvanized piping and put together the perfect bracelet holder.

Don’t forget to sign-up for the DIH Workshop this Thursday so you can learn how to make your own too!

This is such a fun project, I know you’ll love making one too.  See how different they look with just different wood, paint and knobs!  Crazy, right!

And don’t forget Home Depot has other great workshops too.  On the third Thursday of every month it’s GNO (Girl’s Night Out) at The Home Depot!  These are the perfect workshops for all newbie DIYers and/or you experienced DIYer.  All skill levels are welcome!  So don’t be intimated… sign-up!

The Home Depot also offers a DIY Workshop and they have the fun Kid’s Workshops as well.

  2. You did a great job on creating your rustic glam jewelry organizer. I especially like the industrial knob next to the rustic wood, as well as the sea glass knobs. All of the elements come together very nicely in the finished piece.
