Spring is Time for Planting… Come Join Me

Thanks for Sharing!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Where I live in Southern California we have to act quick in the Spring to get those winter weeds pulled and spruce up our outdoor spaces before it starts to bake here.  We regularly hit 100 degrees in the middle of the summer so water conservation is a big factor in the plants we use.  Plus… if you haven’t heard, California is in a drought.

We purchased our home at a foreclosure auction and the front and back yard were completely dead and overgrown with weeds.  So we’ve gotten are hands dirty over the last years with laying of sod and planting new plants.  Finding plants that work in our extreme climate was definitely a priority.

This Saturday, April 12th I am going to be at the Miracle-Gro event at the Home Depot in Murrieta, CA.

Home Depot

25100 Madison Avenue

Murrieta, CA  92562

I will be there from 9:30 – 2:00ish.

If you are wanting to learn more about xeriscaping, water conservation plants and products then this is the event for you!  I’d LOVE to meet you too!

If you aren’t local, but want to learn more make sure to follow along on Saturday.  I will be sharing on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

I can’t wait to learn more about latest products and pick up some new flowers to add to our front yard.

I hope I’ll get to see some of you there on Saturday!

  1. Your yard is so pretty now. You must have worked your fannies off for months to get it looking that way. We lived in San Diego area inland for 21 yrs,. were having drought then too. Poor old CA. All that water on the coast and no water to keep yards pretty. You’re sure smart to educate yourselves in better gardening ways. Good luck and enjoy Happy Spring

    1. Thanks JaneEllen! Yes… it’s been years in progress and still has a few spots that need finishing.
