Thrift Store DIY Anchor Home Decor

Thanks for Sharing!

It’s time for some Thrift Store Decor fun again!  If you’re new here, each month I get together with some other bloggers to share with you guys some easy Thrift Store Decor Makeovers.  This month I’m sharing an easy DIY Anchor Home Decor Project.

Anchor Decor from a Thrift Store Cutting Board

I started with this cutting board that I found at a thrift store.

I loved it’s shape and figured I could repurpose it into another addition to the gallery wall I’m creating in the family room.

I took a picture of an anchor and laid it on top of the cutting board.  With a sharp pencil I traced over the outline firmly which created a great painting guideline.

Then I used some crisp, white paint to fill in my traced area.

I love how it turned out!  It’s a great addition to our gallery wall (in progress).

  1. Love the anchor! Love the old cutting board, and especially love that you are repurposing that into something pretty and enjoyable for your home this summer! An anchor is a great symbol for what family mean to each other. I get so many great ideas from you bloggers! Thanks.
