Valentine Polka Dot Heart Pillow
Happy Monday! I’ve got another cute Valentine project. Do you remember making those pencil polka dot art pieces when you were in elementary school? Well my project today is a grown up version of those fun projects… but your kiddos can definitely help out.
Valentine Polka Dot
A fun Valentine Polka Dot Heart Pillow.
I had some leftover drop cloth from a previous project.
I cut out two pieces that were 18″ squares.
I decided not to go with the traditional pinks and reds for Valentine’s Day but pick colors that fit in my decor… so I went with a blue and green paint.
If you’ve been around with me for a while you know that I’m not the greatest seamstress… so I went with the super easy hot-glue gun method. I glued together 3 sides before flipping it out and painting it.
I placed various sized hearts onto the fabric. Then I started with the green paint. I dipped it into the paint and made 2-3 dots per dip.
I repeated with the blue paint making sure to completely go around each heart sticker so the heart outline would show once I pulled up the stickers.
Let it dry completely (only takes about 30 minutes) before pulling up the stickers to reveal your cute hearts.
Fill the pillow with stuffing before closing up the 4th side with the glue gun.
Such a fun Valentine project that you can use all year. My oldest daughter has already claimed this pillow for her room.
Thanks for stopping by!
