Ingredients

Cherry Filling

  • 12 ounces frozen sweet pitted cherries
  • cup granulated sugar
  • cup all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Crisp Topping

  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup oats
  • ¼ cup brown sugar light or dark
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions

Cherry Filling

  • Preheat your oven to 350℉.
  • In a bowl combine your frozen cherries, sugar, flour, and vanilla. Stir until the cherries are coated.

  • Pour your cherry filling into your baking dish.

Crisp Topping

  • In a bowl combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Mix well.

  • Drizzle the melted butter into the bowl, mix until evenly combined.

  • Sprinkle the crisp topping on top of the cherry filling in the baking dish.
  • Place your baking dish in your preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the cherries are bubbling and the crisp is browning on top.

Notes

This cherry crisp is delicious on it's own, but it's great with vanilla ice cream and/or fresh whipped cream.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
This crisp is delicious served cold too!
