Favorite Fruit Smoothie
Today I’m sharing my favorite fruit smoothie. I’m linking up at Balancing Beauty and Bedlam for Jen’s Tasty Tuesday. Normally I have this for lunch in the hot summer months, but it’s great for breakfast or an after school snack. This makes about 4 8oz. glasses.
You’ll need…
2 cups of Dole Orange, Pineapple Orange Juice
2 scoops of Vanilla Protein Powder
1 Frozen Banana
8 Frozen Strawberries
Blender
Pour your 2 cups of juice in the blender. Of course you can put any juice you’d like in or do 1 cup juice & 1 cup water to lower the calories. Dump in the protein powder & your frozen banana. (I take my bananas when they are getting too ripe & peel them, break them in 2 & put them on a cookie sheet in the freezer. Once frozen I’ll keep them in a freezer bag till I need them. They are greater for smoothies or even banana bread if you defrost them). Back to the smoothie… blend the juice, powder & banana till well mixed. Put in 6 strawberries & blend. Here is where you can start to see the thickness & decide how many more you want. I like mine pretty thick so I will usually need around 8 (of course this all depends on the size of your berry).
Pour and enjoy! My three kids all LOVE these.

I lived on smoothies when I was pregnant…forgot how yummy they are. I'm a bit of a domestic diva myself–I have a Friday recipe linky, I do hope you'll stop by and share something that you posted this week.
