Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dog Treats Instructions
Homemade dog treats are great to make because you know exactly what you’re giving your dog. During the fall Ona gets lots of pumpkin dog treats as I use a lot of pumpkin in my baking.

Start by putting the oats into a large bowl. I typically use quick oats.

Add the canned pumpkin puree to the oats and cinnamon. You don’t want to use the pumpkin pie filling.

Then add your peanut butter. I use a creamy version. You could use natural peanut butter too.

Stir everything together until the batter turns into a smooth dough.

Then I take a heaping tablespoon of the dog treat recipe and roll it into a ball. Place them onto a baking sheet and I put them into the refrigerator and let them set up for a couple of hours before transferring them to an airtight container or ziploc baggie to store.
You can place these dog treats in the freezer for your furry friend. Just make sure the storage you use is freezer safe. I usually make a double batch and freeze half.

Then let your taste tester give it a try. They are Ona approved!
