Ultimate Skillet Peanut Butter Cookie
This Skillet Peanut Butter Cookie is perfect for all my fellow peanut butter lovers! These deep dish cookies are so good served warm with a scoop of ice cream and some peanut butter syrup on top. I adore peanut butter, probably more than I should. I love it on apples, in smoothies, and even on a spoon.
My-oh-my! Is there anything better than a hot peanut butter cookie with vanilla ice cream on top?

Yep… a hot skillet peanut butter cookie with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter syrup on top! It’s amazing friends!
I love pizookies from my favorite pizza place, but it’s fun to make your own deep dish cookies at home too.
This cookie recipe starts like most cookies by creaming together the butter, peanut butter, and sugars in a mixer. After it’s been mixed for 5 minutes at a medium speed you’ll add the eggs and vanilla. (You can use a hand mixer if you don’t have a standing mixer).
In a separate large bowl, you’ll put together your dry ingredients: flour, salt, and baking powder. Combine the flour mixture with the creamed butter mixtures. Once combined you’ll add the peanut butter chips.
This recipe fills four mini skilled. I like using the 6.5″ mini skillets – perfect for sharing! Press the cookie dough into each cast-iron skillet and bake in a preheated oven.
Once baked I let them cool for 10 minutes before adding the vanilla ice cream on top.

How to Make Peanut Butter Shell for Ice Cream
To make the peanut butter syrup you just melt some peanut butter in the microwave. Have you tried it? Put a couple tablespoons of peanut butter in a glass measuring cup and microwave for about 20 seconds and stir.
When you pour it on top of the ice cream it hardens, almost like a peanut butter shell over the ice cream… amazing friends!

What size skillet is Mini? Can this be doubled or tripled for a larger skillet, say for a 10inch? If so, how long would you bake for? Does anyone have the answers or have experimented with this yet?
Hi Carol,
My mini skillets are 5″ skillets. You definitely can use a larger skillet. This recipe makes four 5″ skillets. If you use a larger skillet you’ll just need to leave it in longer and watch it. I personally have not made 1 large one, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, just can’t give you a time on it. Let me know if you do so I can update the info for others.
Please HELP..I do not have a 6.5″ iron skillet. I have a 10 ” would I double the recipe and bake longer?? Having dinner guests in two days. Please respond!! thank you…this will be a huge hit.
This was incredibly sweet. Like way overly sweet. I love sweet but dang… I did make it again with 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white. Still sweet but how a cookie is supposed to be.
Thank you for the recipe
Ok. I am obsessed with peanut butter, and this looks like heaven. I cannot wait to try this. Plus, I can finally use the pazookie pan I got for my wedding a few years ago. 🙂
Hello! I only have a 10-inch Lodge! Any idea of how long I would bake in that? Really want to try this. =)
Oh my gosh, this looks really good! I am a fan of peanut butter! My husband laughs at me because one of my favorite things to eat is peanut butter and jelly. Now you’ve added more things to my lineup.
