This Apple Crisp Funnel Cake is the ultimate fall funnel cake! It’s the perfect fall fair food! A delicious, chewy funnel cake topped with apple pie filling, ice cream, and crumb topping.
Assembling the Apple Crisp Funnel Cake
So start with a funnel cake on a plate. Then it’s time to add some powdered sugar. Sprinkle to cover the top. Next is the apple pie filling. Now, you can buy store-bought, but I love making my own. You can find my apple topping recipe here.
Next I go for a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream, but cinnamon ice cream would be amazing too!
Then you finish with the crumb topping.
Sprinkle on as much as you like! Here’s my favorite Crumb Topping recipe. You can use this recipe on top of your pies and fruit crisps, but it’s also great baked up on parchment paper and sprinkled on top of ice cream, like I did here.

Apple Crisp Funnel Cake

- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 cups apple pie filling
- ice cream
- crumb topping
- Follow the directions for my crumb topping here. Get it in the oven before starting the funnel cakes. Let it cool at least 20 minutes before crumbling it into pieces.

- Place a funnel cake on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Scoop about ½ cup of apple pie filling on top. Add a couple scoops of your prefered ice cream. Finish with a sprinkling of the crumb topping.
