These Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Ornaments make the cutest Christmas gifts!  I love hot cocoa, in fact, I drink it pretty much every day if the weather is a little chilly, so this Christmas gift idea is one I know I’d love receiving.  I think it would make a great gift for neighbors, friends, etc.

Ok, let’s us get into how to make this fun holiday craft!

Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Ingredients List:

  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cups dark chocolate baking cocoa
  •  1/2 cup powdered milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1  1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1  1/4 cup salted caramel chips
  • 1  1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 5 tablespoons red decorating sugar

Hot Chocolate Ornament Supplies:

  • 5 clear ball ornaments
  • 1 piece of patterned cardstock
  • twine
  • printable gift tags

Directions How to Make Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Ornaments:

  1. Mix sugar, dark chocolate baking cocoa, powdered milk, and salt in a medium bowl until combined.

  2. Pour ½ cup cocoa mixture into the clear ball ornament using a funnel.

  3. Pour ¼ cup salted caramel chips into the ornament.

  4. Pour ¼ cup dark chocolate chips into the ornament.

  5. Fill remainder of space in the ornament with miniature marshmallows.

  6. Top with one tablespoon of red decorating sugar.

  7. Attach top onto the ornament.

  8. Print gift tags and cut out each tag.

  9. Cut a piece of patterned cardstock slightly larger than the gift tag and glue the gift tag on top.

  10. Punch a hole in the corner of the gift tag.

  11. Attach the tag to the top of the ornament using twine.

  12. Repeat with the remaining 4 ornaments.

I hope you get a chance to makes these great gift ornaments!
