Easiest and Yummiest Sugar Cookies
I’ve been making these sugar cookies for the past few years and I’m always impressed with how easy they are to make and work with and the added bonus of how yummy they are.
I saw Sandra Lee make them on her Christmas special on the Food Network.
Here’s the scrumptious recipe:
1 7.5 ounce package of dry sugar cookie mix
4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup flour
Royal Icing
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon meringue powder
water, for icing consistency
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the cookie mix with the cream cheese until crumbly. Mix in the eggs and flavoring until well combined. Add enough flour to make a firm dough that can be rolled out. Roll dough out on lightly floured board to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut out into your desired shapes.
Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for about 8 minutes.
While the cookies are baking, make the icing by combining powdered sugar and meringue powder. Add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until it reaches desired consistency.
Decorate cookies with royal icing. Allow to dry for 1 hour.
I hope you enjoy making these.
Here’s a few of the things we were working on yesterday at our house…

Today we’re baking Pioneer Woman’s Cinnamon Rolls and other goodies.
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!
I love a good sugar cookie. My family just moved to a new city and we found a sandwich shop that has THE BEST sugar cookies. You will have to tell us how PW's rolls turn out.
Merry Christmas.
