Sonic Inspired Strawberry Limeade Slush
The heat is on and the kiddos love having a cool treat in the middle of the afternoon. One of our favorite summer places to visit in the heat of summer is the drive-thru at Sonic. One of my favorites there is the Strawberry Limeade Slush… so I created my own version. The sweet strawberries paired with tangy lime is so refreshing during the heat of summer.
Strawberry Limeade Slush
Here’s how to make your own.
Strawberry Limeade Slush Recipe
- Add 2 cups of frozen strawberries to your blender.
- Add your favorite lemon-lime soda till it’s about 1 inch above your frozen strawberries in the blender (I pour till I reach the 3 cup line)
- Add 2 tablespoons of Key Lime Juice.
Place the lid on and I pulse on the ice crush setting for about 10 pulses. Then I turn it to the high setting and let it go for about 10 seconds till it thickens up.
Adjust as needed. If too thick add some more lemon-lime soda… too thin add another couple frozen strawberries.
This will make about 2 eight ounce cups.
So refreshing and perfect for the heat of summer!
