Countdown to Autumn… Cinnamon Stick Wreath

Hi Friends!  I hope you’re enjoying a beautiful day with loved ones.  It’s beginning to feel a bit more like autumn as we’re in the mid-80’s today… wahoo!  In fact the next 10 days we’re in the 80’s… I might be inspired to drag out all my fall décor.

I did make a new autumn wreath for our front door this week.

I started with a wooden circle, hot glue and a bunch of cinnamon sticks ( I used more than what is pictured here).

I started with the top layer and decided I wanted more oomph so I added the back layer of cinnamon sticks too.

Love the sunburst look of it!

And of course you can’t beat the scent of cinnamon.

So how are you getting ready for Autumn?

This is an easy link party, meaning you don’t have to include a button or link back (but I’m thankful & thrilled if you do).

The only rule… it MUST be autumn (fall) related!!!

So link up your fall décor, your favorite fall recipes, family traditions, back to school goodies… anything AUTUMN!

Inspire us…

I love your wreath! I have been wanting to make a small cinnamon stick wreath for my pantry door but am not sure where I can find that many cinnamon sticks for not a lot of money. Do you have any tips on where to buy them?

How does the burlap attach to the door? Your wreath looks fabulous & I made myself one this afternoon. I just can't figure out how the burlap attaches.
Also, to the person who was wondering where to get the cinnamon sticks, I bought a 3lb box of 6" sticks at the Bulk Barn for $10. I counted out that there is about 150 sticks in the box. I'm in Canada, so I don't know if there is Bulk stores where you live, but I was happy with my find!

6 Hollow Legs ~ I used a decorative tack (nail) and pushed it through the burlap and then nailed it to the top of the door.
