These Spicy Meatball Sliders are perfect for the upcoming holidays! They make a great appetizer or meal. We shop at least once a week at our local Winco store and the Carando® Sicilian Meatballs have become a favorite in our household. I have some family members who love some heat and these meatballs deliver.
Spicy Meatball Sliders
Recipes that are easy to put together are always my favorite. I love shopping our local Winco because it’s so easy to pull together meals with what I find. They have a great produce section, great selection of meats and cheeses, a fantastic deli and their bulk bin section is fantastic. They carry a great assortment of flours, various kinds of rice, lots of granola and so much more in their bulk section. I first came across these fresh Italian style meatballs at my local Winco, about a year ago. My husband and son love meatballs so I figured if they were a great price and looked delicious, I’d give them a try. They didn’t disappoint. I’ve purchased them multiple times since then.
The Sicilian is our favorite. They are juicy and full of flavor with their warm heat. You can tell they are authentically crafted.
So let me share with you one of my favorite ways to serve Carando Meatballs… my Spicy Meatball Sliders.
Spicy Meatball Slider Ingredients:
- Carando Sicilian Italian Style Meatballs
- favorite marinara sauce
- chopped Italian parsley
- 1-2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- 12 slider size rolls
Spicy Meatball Slider Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. While your oven is preheating chop your Italian parsley and grate your mozzarella cheese.
Once the oven is preheated place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake on one side for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes flip the meatballs and place back into the oven for 6 minutes on the other side.
Meanwhile, slice your slider rolls in half.
Sprinkle some grated mozzarella cheese on the bottom slider bun. Add a heaping tablespoon of marinara sauce on top. Repeat on all the slider bun bottoms.
After the meatballs have cooked for 6 minutes on the other side, place a meatball in the center of the slider bun base.
Add another scoop of marinara and another sprinkling of grated mozzarella cheese on top of each meatball. Place the top of the slider bun on each and put back into the oven for 5 minutes for the cheese to melt.
Serve hot to your lucky family and/or friends!
These meatballs are also great served with marinara sauce and your favorite pasta. My son loves eating them just baked with nothing added to them… he says they are great all by themselves.
