Delicious Oreo Peppermint Bark Recipe
Oreo Peppermint Bark is a festive candy for Christmas with chocolate, white chocolate, crushed candy canes, and oreos.

Festive Peppermint Oreo Bark is fun to make and it’s great as a gift for your neighbors and friends! This treat is perfect for the Christmas season. I like to sprinkle some red sprinkles on top, but red and green would be so fun too.
Ingredients For Oreo Peppermint Bark
- milk chocolate melts
- vanilla (white chocolate) melts
- Oreo cookies
- candy cane
Crush Up Your Oreos and Candy Cane
I like to start by crushing my Oreos so they are ready when I need them. I place my Oreos into a baggie and then just tap it with a rolling pin or you can use the bottom of a metal measuring cup too. Now your crushed Oreos are ready when you need them.
Repeat the same process with the candy cane. I snapped it into a few pieces so it would fit inside the baggie.
Melt Your Chocolate
I typically melt my chocolates in the microwave, but if you prefer you could use a double boiler method. Follow the direction on how your chocolate melts should be melted down. I used milk chocolate melts, but you could use dark chocolate if you prefer. I like using these wafer melts because they melt so nicely. My local grocery store sells them in bulk, but most craft stores sell them in bags too.

For my melts I poured them into a large heat-safe bowl and microwaved for 1 minute on 50% power, and then stirred. Repeat as needed, stirring between each time you microwave. As the chocolate starts to soften, microwave for 30-second intervals until the chocolate is smooth.

I place some parchment paper on the bottom of a rimmed cookie sheet, then pour the melted milk chocolate mixture onto the parchment paper. Wax paper works too. Spread the melted chocolate around until you have an even layer. Then I place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set up.

Now it’s time for the white chocolate (vanilla melt layer). I use vanilla candy melts, but you could use white chocolate chips. Follow the same directions as above for the white chocolate wafers.

Once it is completely melted and smooth, pour on top of the milk chocolate layer. Smooth it over the top until it’s even and covering the chocolate bottom layer.
Sprinkle Candy Cane and Oreos
Immediately you want to sprinkle your crushed Oreos and candy cane on top of the white chocolate layer. I followed up with a sprinkle of the red sugar sprinkles.

Then I pop it back into the refrigerator for about an hour to let it all set up.
Finishing Your Oreo Peppermint Bark
You can use a sharp knife to break it into chunks or just use your hands. This peppermint bark oreos treat makes a great last minute gift for the holiday season.
