Air Fryer Tortellini
Air Fryer Tortellini is cheese filled tortellini that is toasted up in your air fryer. If you’re looking for a tasty appetizer that’s quick to make and full of flavor, this crispy cheese pasta to dip in marinara sauce is a great option. It’s a fun twist on fried mozzarella cheese sticks. This recipe makes for a great appetizer, perfect for a party of game day snacks.
This is a fun twist on air fryer ravioli. I think the tortellini is such a fun shape and easier to grab for dunk in your sauce. Using frozen 3 cheese tortellini, you can whip up a batch of these golden bites in no time, thanks to the magic of the air fryer. Let’s dive into how to make this delightful treat!
Ingredients
- 3 cheese tortellini (I used fresh, but you can use frozen)
- olive oil cooking spray
- marinara sauce
Cook The Tortellini
We need to cook the tortellini before we air fry to get that crispy exterior. I used fresh pasta, but frozen will work too. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add some salt, I used a couple teaspoons. Then just follow the instructions on your packaging for al dente pasta. Mine gently boiled for 7 minutes.

Fry the Cheese Pasta
I love using parchment paper liners in my air fryer. You can check out the ones I use in the linked image above. We use them every time we use the air fryer, makes for an easy cleanup too.
So I preheat my air fryer, then place the liner in the bottom (totally will work without a liner too). Add your al dente tortellini to the air fryer basket. You want to keep them in a single layer, so if you cook a lot of them you’ll want to do batches.
Give your pasta a spray of the olive oil and then cook them for 7 minutes per side. When I flip the pasta I give it another spray of the oil.
Serve Air Fryer Tortellini with Warm Marinara
Serve hot with a small bowl with some marinara sauce. I personally like my sauce a little warm so I will heat it in the microwave.
Finishing Touches
You could add some additional flavor and texture to these air fryer tortellini by sprinkling some Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese on top of the pasta when it comes out of the air fryer.

Notes
Air fryer tortellini offers a delightful combination of crispy exterior and cheesy, gooey interior. It’s a crowd-pleaser that appeals to both kids and adults alike. Plus, it’s much healthier than deep-frying and requires minimal cleanup—making it a win-win in our book!
